The Mix Archive collects only the minimum data needed to run the site.

Newsletter signups: we store your email address and the date you subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing us.

Analytics: this site does not run third-party ad trackers. Basic hosting logs (IP, user-agent) may be retained by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Anonymous voting: when you cast a thumbs-up or thumbs-down on an individual mix, we generate a random identifier and store it in your browser's local storage so we can remember one vote per mix. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, IP address or any personal detail, and we make no attempt to identify you personally. Clearing your browser storage removes the remembered identity. This mechanism provides basic one-vote-per-browser behaviour and is not fully fraud-proof.

Contributions: the 'Buy me a coffee' button sends you to PayPal in a new tab. We never see or store your card, PayPal password or any payment details.

Embedded video: the 'Off the Record — Tune of the Week' feature embeds YouTube videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) domain. YouTube may still set cookies once you interact with the player. We do not collect any personal data through these embeds.
