Essential Mix — Live at Amnesia, Ibiza

Danny Rampling · 28 July 1996

Not polished, and better for it. Danny Rampling closing Radio 1's four-hour Amnesia Essential Mix in July 1996, after Pete Tong and Sasha, with Leftfield and tough percussive house to finish the night. This is a live Ibiza recording, and it's worth hearing as part of that shared four-hour Radio 1 night rather than pretending it exists on its own. Rampling followed Pete Tong and Sasha with a more direct, percussive house approach. The contrast is part of the appeal. It tells you something about what different DJs could bring to the same evening.
