A forgotten 1997 John Digweed curveball: 75 minutes of the short-lived Jackpot label at its best, from Blue Amazon and a double helping of Chakra's "I Am" to Tenth Chapter's "Wired". Digweed's Jackpot compilation is easy to miss if you follow his career only through Renaissance, Northern Exposure and Global Underground. That's precisely why it's interesting. Blue Amazon, Chakra and Tenth Chapter place it in the progressive moment of 1997 without sounding like a collection of the same obvious records. It also opens a route into a label that didn't enjoy the lasting visibility of Bedrock.
