Global Underground 016: Cape Town (CD2)

Dave Seaman · 2000

  • Progressive House
  • Progressive Trance

Cape Town CD2 begins with the Quivver remix of Pete Lazonby’s “Sacred Cycles” and develops through the spacious progressive sound of Planisphere and Luzon’s “The Baguio Track”. The middle remains dark and tightly controlled before Way Out West’s “The Fall” brings a warmer melodic lift. James Holden, Junkie XL and Highland then carry the closing stretch without breaking the mood. Less immediate than Buenos Aires, it rewards a full listen and shows Seaman building atmosphere through patient sequencing rather than obvious anthems.
