Nick Warren before Global Underground meant anything: August 1995, two hours of Vangelis, Daft Punk, Morricone, This Mortal Coil, Photek and early Way Out West, held together by a Bristol DJ who never rushes. This is a reminder that early progressive-house DJs drew on far more than the records now filed under progressive house. Vangelis, Morricone and This Mortal Coil sit beside electronic and club selections without the whole broadcast falling apart. Warren's Bristol connections are important too, particularly the early Way Out West material. The variety is the point, not an attempt to show off obscure records.
