CD2 of Shanghai opens in broken-beat territory before steadily tightening through guitar-led grooves, tougher progressive rhythms and long builds that never feel rushed. Hardfloor’s “Acperience 1” provides the acid-charged centre of the mix, while Kosmas Epsilon and Murat Uncuoglu keep the pressure moving forward. The closing run through Peter Martin, Mercurio and Derek Howell brings the melody back without losing momentum. Released in 2005, it sits slightly beyond the archive’s main era, but Warren’s patient control remains unmistakable.
